Equilibar received many requests to develop a miniature back pressure regulator or control valve, for use in smaller systems and in smaller spaces. For example, customers who are doing catalytic research with multiple reactor systems at high temperature submitted such requests.
In catalytic research applications, customers often place the back pressure regulators inside an oven with limited space. Therefore Equilibar downsized their unique design for domeloaded, multi-orifice diaphragm valves into a smaller back pressure regulator with a diameter of less than 40 mm.
The Equilibar® LVF unit has a staggering Cv turndown ratio of 1:100.000. We use small process connections of 1/16” because of the small size of the back pressure regulator. The Cv range is only a bit compromised due to the process connection, but still 10e-7 up to 0,01.
